Laverty Pathology provides and manages laboratory-testing services to a number of leading private and public hospitals across NSW and the ACT. Laverty Pathology's hospital clients vary from specialised regional hospitals to larger multi-specialty hospitals requiring on-site pathology laboratory facilities, scientists, and blood collection.
The services provided range from 24 hour staffed on-site laboratory facilities to visiting pathologist and/or visiting on-site blood and specimen collection service. Laverty Pathology has a proven record of providing comprehensive and sophisticated pathology services to many hospitals in NSW and ACT. This requires appropriate clinical governance and reporting standards as well as medical consulting, teaching, education and training of clinical staff. Additionally, Laverty Pathology has a quality focus with plans in place to ensure maintenance of ACHS and NATA accreditation. Regular performance reviews are conducted with clients and staff and we have a detailed methodology for documentation of all clinical procedures.
Laverty Pathology has a team of specialist pathologists with a wide range of expertise. Many of the pathologists have dual appointments at major teaching hospitals. Others maintain close professional links with the teaching hospitals for the purposes of providing an integrated diagnostic service and for continuing medical education. Our pathologists support decision making on the choice and diagnostics value of the pathology test range at each hospital, including but not limited to histology, cytology, frozen sections, core biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and breast screens.
Laverty Pathology has extensive experience providing pathology services on and off site to support the majority of hospital core services. Our pathologists are experienced in assisting clinicians with some of the difficult diagnoses and clinical management problems that can arise in these areas. Our laboratory staff are experienced with the kinds of test profiles clinicians will require and the short time frames required in urgent cases.
Laverty Pathology is able to bring its diagnostics directly into the hospital wards through the integration of our Laboratory Information System into your hospital's wards and departments IT infrastructure. This enables your doctors and staff to access results and diagnostic information as soon as it is verified at the laboratory that is real time access and reporting. This results in reductions in delays and reduction in errors.

We have more than 40 pathologists who are available for doctor to doctor and technical consultation on the whole spectrum of clinical diagnostics, including the most challenging of clinical cases.
