Profile
Dr Peter Burda graduated from the Komenianus University, Czechoslovakia in 1977 and worked at the Department of Anatomical Pathology in Nitra General Hospital from 1978-83, before immigrating to Australia. In 1987 Peter passed the AMEC/AMC qualification examinations and commenced his residency at Hornsby Hospital.
In 1990 he commenced his pathology training at Royal North Shore Hospital, St. Vincent’s and Prince of Wales Hospitals. He completed his training in 1996 and then joined Macquarie Pathology.
Peter became part of Mayne Health Laverty Pathology in 1999/ Laverty Pathology 2005 reporting cases of general surgical pathology with emphasis on skin. His areas of special interest include melanocytic lesions, adnexal tumours, prostate and the gastro intestinal tract.
