Profile
Dr Neil Catterall graduated MBBCh in 1979 from Witwatersrand University, South Africa and he completed his specialisation in anatomical pathology at the South African Institute for Medical Research in 1987.
He then worked for two years in the National Centre of Occupational Health, completing a Diploma in Occupational Health in 1989.
After a further year as a consultant and lecturer at Nelson Mandela Medical School, Natal University, Neil was in private practice for 13 years in Durban working for the National Netcare Pathology Group.
Neil joined Mayne Health Laverty Pathology in 2000 as an anatomical pathologist and is responsible for performing histology, cytology and FNA services. His areas of special interest are dermatopathology and cytology (gynae & non-gynae). Neil completed a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology at Newcastle University in 2004.
