Dr Jean-Pierre Mathy has held positions in teaching hospitals in Belgium, Canada and France. He arrived in Australia in 1977. He is recognised as a pathologist in both Australia and Europe.
Jean-Pierre spent six years as a consultant pathologist at Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals in Victoria. He has lectured in pathology at Monash University, Alfred Hospital Melbourne and spent two years as an assistant Professor and consultant at Sherbrooke University, Canada.
Jean-Pierre also held consultant pathology positions at General Hospital of Troyes in France, Prince Henry’s Hospital Melbourne and Dandenong Hospital. Jean-Pierre joined Mayne Health Laverty Pathology in 1996 and his areas of special interest include dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, cytopathology and uropathology.
