Community Support
At Laverty Pathology we actively support local communities across New South Wales and ACT in the pursuit of health and well being and have products and services that enable us to touch and improve the lives of millions of Australians.
As with most working pathologists, the day-to-day workload of Laverty Pathology’s Medical Team includes the diagnosis or exclusion of a range of major medical conditions, each with important consequences for the patients involved.
Laverty Pathology chooses to support the Trish Foundation Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation as its preferred charity to assist them in the very specific goal of finding a cure or preventative strategy for multiple sclerosis.
If you would like more information on The Trish Foundation or would like to make a donation, please contact Tracey Jordan on (02) 9005 7206
Laverty Pathology support a number of other charities throughout the year including:
The Cancer Council
Children's Hospital
Canteen
SIDS
Diabetes Australia
Children’s Medical Research
The Sheppard Centre
Starlight Foundation
Red Cross
CPD Education Program
Laverty Pathology understands the importance of ongoing education to keep General Practitioners up to date with the latest clinical information to assist them in patient care. Our commitment to educate GP's incorporates an interesting selection of educational meetings.
These are chosen based on our past experience, what we see as topical, as well subjects specifically requested by GP's that relate to their practice and patients.
Laverty Pathology educates over 850 GPs per year. Please refer to our Laverty Pathology DVD Lecture Series for more information
Home Visits
Laverty Pathology performs over 130,000 home visits each year to collect pathology specimens for testing, from patients across the Regional and Metropolitan New South Wales.
