Dr John Finlayson

Profile
A graduate of University of Sydney, Dr Finlayson trained in general pathology at Royal North Shore Hospital. Following this, he was awarded a Hudson Brown Fellowship in Laboratory Medicine at Yale University USA. A Fellowship at the Garven Institute (St Vincent's Hospital) followed and then he commenced his career n clinical pathology as Director of Pathology, Lewisham Hosptial (a position he held for 15 years). He then became a partner in private practice (Lamond and Finlayson) in the eastern and southern suburbs of Sydney.
Dr Finlayson has now specialised in anatomical pathology at Laverty Pathology (formerly SDS Pathology) for the past four years where he has developed an interest in breast pathology.
