Profile

Dr Lucinda Wallman graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989 with Honours. She completed combined advanced training in immunology and immunopathology at Westmead Hospital in 2000. She gained a PhD entitled "Regulation of pulmonary vasomotor tone both in vivo and in vitro" at St Vincent's Hospital and the University of New South Wales in 2001. She maintains a clinical interest in pulmonary vascular disease in scleroderma.

Dr Wallman was appointed to Westmead Hospital as a Staff Specialist Immunologist and Immunopathologist in 2001. In 2004 she moved her clinical services in Immunology and Allergy to Blacktown Hospital and was appointed as Conjoint Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Western Sydney. She commenced working with Laverty Patholgy in March 2007 and has been Head of Immunology since November 2007.

Dr Wallman practices in general immunology with a particular interest in direct and indirect immunofluorescence, autoimmune serology and neuro-immunology. She is a member of the Australasian Society for Clinical Immunology and Allergy and sits on their Education Committee. She has been a member of the RAP Written Exam Committee since 2004.
