Biography

Dr Lyndal Edwards graduated in 1985 from The University of Sydney University (MBBS). She trained in Anatomical Pathology at St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal Hospital for Women, Paddington where she developed an interest in gynaecological pathology. In 1992 she gained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and spent the next year gaining general experience at Waikato Hospital, a tertiary referral hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. On her return to Sydney she began working at the Royal Hospital for Women, Paddington where she continued specialising in gynaecological pathology. When the Royal Hospital for Women relocated to the Prince of Wales Campus she joined the department of Anatomical Pathology there. In 2010 she joined Laverty Pathology as a specialist gynaecological pathologist. Dr Edwards is a member of the International Society of Gynaecological Pathologists (ISGYP) as well as its Sydney branch and the International Society of Cytology.
