Dr Hui (Ellie) Yan is a Beijing Medical University graduate. She worked in the Department of Anatomical Pathology Peking University First Hospital in China before she went to the United States for a two-year project in clinicopathological research. Dr Yan migrated to Australia working in the field of medical research and was awarded a PhD degree by the University of Melbourne in 2005. Dr Yan completed her anatomical pathology vocational training in Pathology Queensland and New South Wales at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Douglas Hanly Moir Pathology and Westmead Hospital in 2019. She started working as a pathologist at Royal North Shore Hospital before she joined Laverty Pathology in 2020.
