Dr Indika Liyanage is a specialist in Anatomical Pathology and cytopathology. She obtained her undergraduate training from Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and was awarded MBBS in 2004.
She proceeded to postgraduate training in 2007 in Pathology from Postgraduate Institute in medicine, University of Colombo and finished her MD in Histopathology in 2012. From 2013 till 2015 she obtained 2 years of additional foreign training in Department of Anatomical Pathology, Liverpool hospital, NSW, Australia and practised as a Consultant pathologist for 11 months back in her country and decided to migrate to Australia in 2016. She obtained her fellowship from Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2019 after additional 2 years of training in Department of Anatomical Pathology, Liverpool hospital, NSW.
Indika joined Laverty pathology in 2020, soon after obtaining fellowship and is a member of International Academy of Pathology.
