Dr Martha Lehman obtained her medical degree from the Universidad del Valle, Colombia, South America in 1994. She completed her specialty in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology and subspecialty in Cytopathology at Scott & White Memorial Hospital (Texas) USA and obtained Fellowship of the American Board of Pathology in 2002 and 2003 in each discipline.  Between 2003 and 2008 she worked as an associate pathologist at PPI (now called Inform Diagnostics) in Irving (Texas),  Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville (Florida) and  at Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Centre in Bradenton (Florida)  USA.

She joined Laverty Pathology in 2009 and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2011.  Her current membership includes Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
