Dr Parastoo Irandoost is a medical graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She trained as an anatomical pathology registrar at Royal North Shore Hospital and, once completed, Dr Irandoost joined Laverty Pathology in January 2013. With a wide range of reporting experience in both histology and cytology, she’s also the NSW Councillor/Representative of the Australian Gastrointestinal Pathology Society. Dr Irandoost is a member of the International Academy of Cytology and the co-supervisor of Anatomical pathology trainees at Laverty Pathology which she holds a great passion for. Dr Irandoost is currently in charge of the annual Laverty Practical Cytology course for Anatomical pathology registrars across Australia. She is currently the Cytology Head of Department.
